Here's the details:

 

  • You'll be picked up by a private driver (no bus or public transport!) from Negril. The driver will spoil you with a complimentary Red Stripe, or your choice of juice or water. It's Jamaica, so if anyone wants a special "420 welcome" gift, speak up. What goes on in Jamaica... stays in Jamaica!
  • 4 nights, right on beautiful 7 Mile Beach, heart of Negril
  • That's 7 Mile Beach, with tons of things to explore... or not
  • 2 bars: one adjacent to the main dining area, the other servicing beach bums, bikini babes, pirates, scalleywags, & the occasional grandma, but mostly folks just like you and me :-) . Everyone is comfortable at CocoLaPalm!
  • 2 Restaurants: one with a full menu of delicious dishes, the other a beach bar with more American style foods, like burgers... and lobsters. 
  • The COOKING SHOW, at Zimbali Retreat! 
  • Comfortable rooms with new bathrooms. Not the fanciest: bring your own art, lol, but... coffeemakers, VERY comfy beds, a/c, free WIFI, new bathrooms- everything you need, in a real cool resort right on the beach. (I really liked it!)

Because it's so fun to wander and try other foods, AND because you'll be dining at Zimbali one of your nights in paradise, a meal plan just doesn't make sense. Besides, they don't offer one, lol. BUT- you'll be happy you didn't tie yourself down, because the food is really, really good, but you may want to do the snorkel and picnic on Booby Cay trip, or maybe try some jerk on the beach. I'd plan on eating 2 lunches and one dinner at the resort, maybe 3 lunches, if your plan is to occupy one of those wonderful beach chairs for a couple days while there. :-). 

Everyone feels relaxed and welcome at CocoLaPalm. You can easily walk anywhere downtown right from the resort.

THE COOKING SHOW!

Meet your chef- the "Best Chef in the West!" He's going to make culinary magic from produce found right on the premises. 

This VERY SPECIAL retreat is a farm to table, off-grid dream come true. Seriously, we've all dreamed of running away and living off the land. Well- here it is! ZImbli was the first on the west end to offer a cooking show, and they set the standard. Listen learn, laugh, and enjoy. You'll never forget the experience. 

Check out the little cabins and places to stay- you'll want to come back. This is the most calming, peaceful place you'll ever find. 

And the food is delicious!

I watched a guy work up an appetite doing dare-hopscotch. He devoured a gorgeous lobster in under 5 minutes.

And he was happy.

And I loved every minute of it!

This chair is located near the surprisingly little used adult pool. I found my way back and forth all day, with a trip or two to the nearby bar.

Some rooms feature outdoor sitting areas. The resort actually has a lot of small areas to enjoy.

Here, Alicia, one of your hosts, makes sure everything is set for the night's "Cooking Show". It was absolutely wonderful. 

Your resort is CocoLaPalm. I visited recently, liked it more the longer I stayed, found it to be very convenient, but also found it to be very, very comfortable. I felt super safe there, too. 

This guy... sure can mix a drink. Nice bar area, just adjacent the dining areas. This report has everything you need. 

At first, the place seemed HUGE. It actually is a large property, but the way it's set up lends a certain intimacy to it. It feels comfortable- not institutional. Most guests are repeat customers, and I"ll be glad to be one, too. 

Not sure, but... I believe it has been  scientifically proven that adult beverages taste at least 83% better when served next to Caribbean ocean water. 

Itinerary

Friday: pick up from airport. Transport to CocoLaPalm. Refreshments included. There's plenty of selection on the dinner menu- go for it! Be sure to check your welcome envelope for the week's activity calendar. There's always something going on for the guests here!

Saturday: continental breakfast. Do whatever your heart desires today!

Sunday: continental breakfast. Do more of whatever makes you happy

Saturday or Sunday evening: your driver will pick you up from the resort and take you to the Canaan Mountain, where you will discover Zimbali, a lush eco-retreat, farm to table jungle gem. I've stayed here numerous times, and absolutely love it. You'll enjoy "The Cooking Show", relax a little, and then let our driver deliver you safely back to CocoLaPalm, where you can sit on the beach til the sun comes up if you want. Or not. It's YOUR vacay!

Monday- continental breakfast. Plan on attending the complimentary Manager's Party early evening. It's always fun. CocoLaPalm takes good care of thier guests- which is why folks keep goin' back!

Tuesday: your driver will pick you up at the resort and get you back to Sangster International safely, and in plenty of time for your travel home. 

ALL transortatio is included. Driver gratuities are not. 

ADD-ONS

Here's some other things you may want to splurge on:

  • Massage on the beach! Drop that light curtain, lay down, and let the masseuse and the waves transport you to that place you've been longing for. Aaaaah. About $100. 
  • Booby Cay day trip, including snorkeling, a small island, some partying, aa cart drinks and food. Runs a couple hours. About $100 per guest. 
  • Trip to Wabba's Blue Hole, which is a natural water source, pure and clean, that you can dive into or swim. Also has a wonderful pool area, and places to relax, food, and everything you need for some fun. Transportation included. $310 for 2.
  • Roaring Rapids: OMG- amazing. Travel to the interior, to a world you didn't know still exists. Pure air. Pure soil, farming Richness. And pure, clean, never ending water gushing from a series of blue holes. The air is so fresh you just want to stand there and breath. Visit the cave system, where... oh, just go visit. Learn some history. Be forever touched by the unspoiled, pure beautify of it all. I was. $290 for 2. It'll take mid morning to mid afternoon- and it's really worth it.
